Description

VICAM SNAP! is a stationary automatic identification system for:

Manually sorting large letters
Recording shipments on receipt of goods
Recording returns
Preparing shipments of goods
Controlling orders on departure of goods
Light-guided order picking applications
Voice-guided sorting applications

Regardless of whether it is for manual sorting or handling at distribution and logistics centres or for parcel service providers: the VICAM SNAP! compact automatic identification system captures and processes barcodes and 2D codes much faster than laser scanners.

Thanks to the extraordinarily high reading performance of the VICAM SNAP! multicode reading system, operators can move goods (e.g. small items, containers or large letters) under the camera matrix using both hands at high speeds. The large reading area (310 mm x 260 mm x 300 mm) makes it possible to handle goods quickly and intuitively. Thanks to the large reading area, the VICAM SNAP! automatic identification system is capable of capturing even damaged, poorly defined or badly printed codes on the most diverse surfaces, even under a protective film. Even the smallest codes and adjacent codes are captured.

The efficient automatic identification system makes manual sorting quicker and provides maximum productivity. Identification is carried out continuously, is fully automatic and is not activated manually. The automatic identification system installed in the workplace reads all common barcodes and 2D codes (also colour codes on coloured backgrounds, among others), when parcels are moved under the camera. It displays images in real time and automatically archives all captured information.

The VICAM SNAP! system comes with a configurable connection to a database. This makes it possible to reliably collate data in a fully automatic manner. A built-in speaker makes the operation as easy as possible, as it gives configurable instructions to operators and acoustic signals as the shipment is being captured.
