Layer descrambling without prior knowledge of the layer pattern.
The cv.DEPAL enables fast and space-sa¬ving layer singulation and object orienta¬tion on less than 3 m2 and to up to three outgoing conveyor lines. This celluveyor is thus tailored to the needs of central warehouses and production facilities as well as all applications in pallet warehou¬ses, where pallet layers are separated for further processing. Compared to conven-tional systems, the space savings are up to 95 percent. Object types and shapes can be unknown thanks to the intelligent software. Our vision system with 3D ca¬meras detects each object of a layer, pro¬vides real-time feedback on its position and calculates the optimal route to the desired exit. If necessary, the celluveyor cells automatically rotate the object to the desired orientation. In the process, layer after layer can be descrambled “on the fly”, eliminating the waiting time for a new layer to be inserted. The artificial intelligence of the vision system elimina¬tes the learning times for new product di¬mensions that are often necessary when using classic conveyor technology.
The celluveyor principle
The celluveyor is a patented, modular and software-driven conveyor system from Bremen, Germany. It is based on one component: a hexagonal cell with three omnidirectional, independently driven wheels. Software brings the cells to life and individually controls the wheels. This enables individual conveying move¬ments in any horizontal direction and in the smallest of spaces.
