Actemium, the industry-oriented VINCI Energies Spain brand whose mission is to improve and optimize its customers’ production processes, has carried out all the engineering and manufacturing of the new Audi Ingolstadt logistics center from its business unit in Valencia. The project consisted of the implementation of a new spare parts center that will double the current capacity of Audi AG and shorten the response time to its customers, Audi dealers in Central Europe. Due to its complexity and size, it is the largest logistics installation carried out within Actemium, for a final amount of €9.5M and a total duration of two years from its contracting in January 2021.
In response to Audi’s needs, Actemium has equipped the new logistics center with an automated warehouse with 8 stacker cranes and a capacity for 60,000 KLT boxes, a circuit of input and output conveyors, picking stations and a robotic palletizing station to manage a flow of 12,000 orders/hour. Actemium has assigned more than 10 engineers to its creation and development, also using 3D design, including even the smallest manufacturing detail.
