As a Manufacturing Unit Manager, you will drive the manufacturing strategy of AMRs – Autonomous Mobile Robots in ABB Robotics in Spain. You will be manage all aspects related to operations of a local manufacturing unit including the full scope of Production, Process Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Industrial Planning and Excellence and Logistics.

Your responsibilities
Prepares annual production budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.
Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance.
Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.
Management, monitoring and implementation of quality systems in the factory. Design and implement the necessary procedures to ensure EXCELLENCE in quality and safety throughout the manufacturing and validation process.
Oversees the creation of manufacturing subcontracts and manages the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including Supply Chain Management.
May provide support to Sales during customer visits to explain capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.
Ensures compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and results.
Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
Your background
7 years of experience in production management.
Knowledge in autonomous mobile robotics or similar.
Experience in production environments in industrial sectors (Automotive).
Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude, and ability to management team.
University degree and training in Engineering plus knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Production Management, or similar.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
