Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is a research institute established by the Government of Aragon in Spain in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of
Zaragoza (UZ). Founded in 2003, ZLC has become an international center of excellence for research and education in logistics and supply chain management that actively engages with industry and the public sector to develop and disseminate knowledge.
Among its academic activities, ZLC offers master’s programs in logistics and supply chain management ranked #1 worldwide and executive programs tailored to the needs of companies.
In terms of research, ZLC develops public and private funded research projects to resolve supply chain challenges identified by companies. These projects are led by ZLC faculty and researchers. Additionally, research partners can receive deeper insights on other ZLC projects, publications, research learnings and results on topics of concern for the company.
Some of ZLC core research areas are Digital Transformation, Sustainable Networks, Transport and Urban Mobility, Physical Internet, as well as other disruptive technologies, such as the Internet of things (IoT), Digital Twins, Blockchain, 5G, 3D printing, autonomous vehicles, etc.
