When to change a wheel? There are many criteria.

Sometimes customers ask us when they should change a tire. And, although there is no exact point at which to do it, we can make several comments about it:

– First of all, it depends on the application, whether the wheel is a critical point or not, it can give us some room for maneuver.

– In the case of stacker cranes, we find suggestions for changes when the wear of the wheel represents 2-3% of its diameter or simply due to the number of working hours.

– Of course, if the wheel shows any signs of deterioration, a thorough assessment is necessary to consider an urgent change.

– Reminder!!: if the iron touches the ground, we are late for the change.

If you need us to give you a hand in assessing any damage seen on the wheel, count on the years of joint experience of RÄDER-VOGEL and Slind Parts.

If you send us a photo we can evaluate it and we will recommend
