Scope of the Regulation to the UNE 15635 and NTP 852 STANDARD
This regulation applies to storage facilities and equipment. It does not apply to storage facilities to the extent that the respective national construction law contains special rules.
Definitions
For the purposes of this regulation, the following terms are defined:
Storage facilities are fixed and mobile racks and cabinets.
Racks are, for example, pallet racks, cantilever racks, dynamic racks, drive-in racks and multi-storey racking systems.
Cabinets are, for example, cabinets with folding, roll-up or sliding doors, cabinets with drawers or pull-outs, multi-storey cabinet equipment and cabinets with electrically operated interior equipment.
Storage equipment means pallet racks intended for reuse, with or without stacking means, and stacking containers.
Pallets are, for example, flat pallets made of wood, steel, plastic or light metal.
Stackable containers are containers whose superstructures are firmly attached to the substructure, for example box pallets and mesh boxes, stackable trays and stackable boxes.
Stacking aids are aids intended for reuse that must be connected to flat pallets. These are, for example, frames and struts that are placed, pushed or inserted, as well as their connections.
