Element Logic has automated the central warehouse of Pecomark, a benchmark in the distribution of equipment and components for refrigeration and air conditioning throughout the Iberian Peninsula, located in Llinars del Vallès (Barcelona). Thanks to the compact storage and order preparation solution AutoStore, designed and deployed by Element Logic, Pecomark has enhanced its logistics capacity, multiplying the efficiency and precision in the management of small and medium-sized spare parts. This improvement not only optimizes the speed of order preparation, but also the precision and availability of stock, thus strengthening the company’s competitiveness in the sector.
Benefits of automation for Pecomark
The new high-density system, which occupies an area of 380 square meters, has a storage capacity of 15,246 bins stacked on 16 levels and is made up of 12 R5 model robots, three carousel-type workstations, of which two are dedicated to order preparation and one to reception. However, the system is flexible and also allows the use of three stations for order output, easily adapting to the company’s operational needs.
In addition, to maximize the efficiency of the AutoStore system, Pecomark has also installed eManager, the software developed by Element Logic that allows for constant control of product location, inventory, receipt of goods, returns management, replenishment and picking. eManager uses a Forecasting algorithm to optimize AutoStore logic and integrates seamlessly with Pecomark’s ERP, SAP R3, ensuring efficient communication between the two systems.
