Good business ideas emerge when you know a sector well and therefore its needs.
In transport management, Ramón Pascual, CEO of Eaship, has enough experience to know that manufacturers’ customers, mainly retailers and distributors, are increasingly demanding with the delivery times and quality of their purchases and seek greater transparency regarding the status of their shipments.
He explains it this way: “Supplying the product in a timely manner, providing greater transparency, has become a determining factor in maintaining competitiveness. The challenge for manufacturers is to guarantee this level of service when transport is outsourced to suppliers with little digitalisation and who are also affected by major macroeconomic problems such as the shortage of drivers, the Red Sea crisis or the pickets of farmers in France”.
To solve these challenges, Ramón has designed, together with César Castillo, CTO of the startup, a software aimed at manufacturers and distributors that facilitates and speeds up transport management, hence the name Eaship (Easy Shipping).
“Our mission is to help manufacturers in sectors where transport has a major impact on product margins and where there is a large volume of national and international shipments. We mainly focus on companies in the food and beverage, packaging, construction materials and consumer goods sectors,” says Ramón Pascual.
