Juver automates supply chain with Canon video surveillance technology
The Murcia-based company Juver Alimentación, one of the main national operators in the juice and nectar sector, has renewed its perimeter control and security system with Canon, through video surveillance cameras, a solution that has allowed it to install a complete system of analysis, control and traceability of the company’s entire production chain.
The multinational’s proposal combines hardware and software, through the cutting-edge technology provided by the video surveillance devices of Axis Communications, a company that forms part of the Canon group, and the power of Canon’s data analytics. This allows Juver to ensure maximum efficiency and optimise the company’s security in all areas. In addition, Canon’s NVS (Network Video Solutions) technology offers the possibility of scalability with multiple tools that expand the possibilities of implementation in other areas of the organisation.
The company was challenged to perform continuous and detailed audits of its logistics processes. To do so, it needed to upgrade its video surveillance system. The challenge was to find a solution that would allow them, on the one hand, to renew their analogue camera equipment and, on the other hand, to obtain state-of-the-art digital capabilities to get the most out of the new devices.
With Canon’s solution, the areas of logistics, asset protection and occupational risk prevention have been optimised. In addition, it has made it possible to verify traceability throughout the supply chain, obtaining real-time security control, a personalised alert system and avoiding long-term claims. These developments have contributed to a change in the company’s corporate culture.
Juver is also tackling the implementation of this solution in other areas, such as in the battery room, where cameras are being installed to monitor the forklifts during the charging process, with the aim of preventing incidents by automatically disconnecting the battery in the event of overheating. The implementation of this solution is also being studied in the production area, in order to prevent incidents by automatically disconnecting the battery in the event of overheating.
